They are used in a wide variety of applications - combine harvesters, excavators, graders, container handlers as well as power generation, of course.

The 20, 34 and 45 series engines make a powerful statement, combining refined power and performance with spontaneous response to changing loads. More than any other engine they provide power and efficiency with the support of a worldwide network.

All X5 generating sets utilise Newage Stamford alternators with ‘severe environmental protection’. These alternators are renowned throughout the world for quality and performance and their utilisation of superior materials and processes.


Description
Complete ‘ready-to-run’ specification with the following standard features: Mechanical speed governor, engine lubrication oil, engine sump drain piping and valve, 3-phase alternator, radiator with 50 degC ambient capability, radiator coolant drain piping and valve, coolant solution with 30% anti-freeze, low coolant level alarm.

Polyester powder coated baseframe with earth stud, vibration isolators between genset and base, 24 hour capacity steel bunded fuel tank (with internal baffles and an access hatch for cleaning) complete with filler cap, flexible fuel lines, a fuel tank level gauge, fuel /water separator, exhaust manifold stub pipe, exhaust silencer.

Wiring loom /harness, 4-pole circuit breaker with earth leakage protection, connection box with copper busbar and multiple sockets, earth strap, battery rack and cables on base frame, dry-charged heavy duty starting battery /batteries, battery isolator, emergency stop lock-down pushbutton. Operator’s manual pack (English - other languages available at no extra charge).

Control Panel
InSight4000 is a sophisticated digital electronic genset control panel with diagnostic capability (see the separate brochure for panel features and additional options). The panel may be upgraded to InSight5000 for AMF operation and /or for use with an automatic transfer panel or to InSight6000 for synchronising applications.

Enclosure:
Super sound attenuated enclosures are manufactured from heavy gauge galvanised sheet steel (polyester powder painted for rust-proofed protection). The enclosures are fitted with extra-thick, high-density acoustic grade foam for superior performance. Access is provided by wide aperture lockable doors with passive fasteners used throughout. The residential silencer is mounted internally for enhanced performance. Noise levels are independently certified.

Units are fitted with an internally mounted centre lifting beam. The baseframe is provided with fork lift pockets and four heavy-duty lifting eyes.
