The new ‘5 series’ sets standards of excellence both in terms of technology and performance. The fit, form and function are clearly discernable, harmonising aesthetics with clarity of control. SisuDiesel (formerly Valmet) are one of the Massey Ferguson family of companies and their engines power some of the biggest names in industry worldwide including Case, Steyr, Valtra and Massey Ferguson to name but a few. They are used in a wide variety of applications - combine harvesters, excavators, graders, container handlers as well as power generation, of course.

The 20, 34 and 45 series engines make a powerful statement, combining refined power and performance with spontaneous response to changing loads. More than any other engine they provide power and efficiency with the support of a worldwide network.

All 5 series generating sets utilise Newage Stamford alternators. These alternators are renowned throughout the world for quality and performance and their utilisation of superior materials and processes.

5 series generating sets are available in two models - Basic and Digital - as outlined below:

Basic model:
Complete ‘ready-to-run’ specification with features as follows: Mechanical speed governor, engine lubrication oil, engine sump drain piping and valve, 3-phase alternator, radiator with 50 degC ambient capability, radiator coolant drain piping and valve, coolant solution with 30% anti-freeze.
Polyester powder coated baseframe with earth stud, vibration isolators between genset and base, fuel tank (minimum 8 hours) with filler cap, flexible fuel lines, a fuel tank level gauge, fuel /water separator, exhaust manifold stub pipe, exhaust silencer.
Wiring loom /harness, 3-pole circuit breaker, earth strap, battery rack and cables on base frame, heavy duty starting battery /batteries (dry charged), control panel (InSight3000 - see the separate brochure), emergency stop lock-down pushbutton.
Operator’s manual pack (English - other languages available at no extra charge).

Digital model:
Generally as Basic, but with advanced genset controls (and the option of electronic engine speed governing), fully optionalised, with diagnostic capability.
Additional features include a sophisticated digital electronic genset control panel (InSight4000 - see the separate brochure for panel features and additional options). The control panel may be upgraded to InSight5000 for AMF operation and /or for use with an automatic transfer panel.

Enclosure:
Super sound attenuated enclosures are manufactured from heavy gauge galvanised sheet steel (polyester powder painted for rust-proofed protection). The enclosures are fitted with extra-thick, high-density acoustic grade foam for superior performance. Access is provided by wide aperture lockable doors with passive fasteners used throughout. The residential silencer is mounted internally for enhanced performance and heavy-duty lifting eyes are provided on the baseframe. An internally mounted centre lifting beam is available as an optional extra.
