Superiority has been made possible by the combination of a modern direct
injection diesel fuel system and a maintenance-free, hydraulically adjusting
valve train, encompassed in Lister Petter engines. As a consequence, they
run smoothly and virtually free of vibration under all load conditions.
Significantly lower fuel consumption and emissions underline the perfection
offered by these exceptional engines.

3D Series (Deutz engine)
AJ Power has always been synonymous with high performance and
superior products. Designed to be safer, stronger, quieter and more
durable the new 3D series meets and exceeds expectations. Powered
by the all-new Deutz 2009 engine the 3D series has set new standards
in performance and fuel consumption, for others to follow.
All AJ Power 3D series generating sets incorporate Newage Stamford
alternators. These alternators are renowned throughout the world for
quality and performance and their utilisation of superior materials and
processes.
Both the 3L and 3D series generating sets are available in three models - Popular, Classic
and Digital - as outlined below:
Economy model
Complete ‘ready-to-run’
specification. Basic controls and limited options.
But, robust construction, though not suitable for use in the EU. Available as
compact sets only.
Features include: Mechanical speed governor, engine lubrication oil, engine
sump drain valve, 3-phase (alternatively dedicated 1-phase) alternator,
radiator with 50 degC ambient capability, coolant solution with 30% antifreeze,
polyester powder coated baseframe with earth stud, vibration
isolators between genset and base, a 100 litre fuel tank with filler cap,
flexible fuel lines, fuel /water separator, exhaust manifold stub pipe,
exhaust silencer, wiring loom /harness, circuit
breaker (3 pole*), earth strap, battery rack and
cables on base frame, heavy duty starting
battery (12V, dry charged), emergency stop
lock-down pushbutton, control panel
(InSight1000 - see the separate brochure),
operator's manual pack (English - other
languages available at no extra charge).
Basic Model
As for the Economy model, with added features
and a wider range of options (see overleaf).
Additional features include a bunded fuel tank
(minimum 8 hours) with filler cap, an enhanced
InSight3000 control panel (see the separate
brochure) and radiator coolant drain valve.
Digital Model
Generally as Basic, but with advanced genset
controls (and the option of digital engine speed governing), fully optionalised,
with diagnostic capability.
Other features include a fuel tank level gauge, a sophisticated digital
electronic genset control panel (InSight4000 - see the separate brochure for
panel features and additional options). The control panel may be upgraded
to InSight5000 for AMF operation and /or for use with an automatic transfer
panel.

Enclosure
Super sound attenuated enclosures are available on Basic and Digital
models. They are manufactured from heavy gauge galvanised sheet steel
(polyester powder painted for rust-proofed protection) and rotationally
moulded polymer end caps. The enclosures are fitted with extra-thick, highdensity
acoustic grade foam for superior performance. Access is provided by
wide aperture lockable doors with passive fasteners used throughout. The
residential silencer is mounted internally for enhanced performance and
heavy-duty lifting eyes are provided on the baseframe. An internally
mounted centre lifting beam is available as an optional extra.
Three phase* /single phase:
All 3 series generating sets are available as standard three phase or
alternatively as dedicated single phase. Both are available for 50Hz or 60Hz.
